Eurovisie Song Contest

Eurovision Song Contest aired last night.

It was a night of laughter, smiling faces, crazy outfits, and big and small egos. Among other things.

But more than anything else: Music.

Music is the one language everyone knows. It doesn't matter much if anything, what kind of language the lyrics are being sung in. As long as the music speaks to us.

Music can add a little bit of "extra" to any situation. Whether it is a funeral, a wedding, a birthday, or any kind of celebration. After all, music enhances our emotions, thoughts, and in many ways our actions.

It is an invisible guide when we feel alone.

A supporter when we feel betrayed.

Enhances our courage before we have to do something.

Relaxes our minds when we are in a stressful situation.

Good days with the right kind of music can make someone enjoy life to the fullest. Even after a long day at work.

On bad days music can help us release those tears, that so desperately want to break free.

And everything on the screen whether it is a commercial jiggle, movie, series, or something in between. With the right music, we (the audience) are being guided to a certain state of mind. So that we can fully feel like a part of the moment or buy a certain product.

After all, music can be calming, edgy, romantic, etc, as well as add something extra to the circumstances or feelings in that particular moment.

Healing is also something that music can help out with. And yesterday I think that that was what we all needed: To heal just a little bit, so we could feel strong for the moment.

Did the right song win?

This question will show up everywhere in media today. And I do believe that the right song won this year.

Was it my favorite song? No, but I think that this year had nothing to do with "who is the best". I think it was about being there for each other, for the moment.

Weeks before the Eurovision Song Contest, when I heard that Ukraine would be included, I already expected that they would win. Because when it comes to the point: we stand together as humans.

Greetings Serena
